Today’s Foodism: They’re the Friends We Can’t Ignore

Condiments. We all use them. They bring so much flavor to our world … to our food … yet at times they are treated like the baldheaded stepchildren of the culinary set.

Salt and pepper, two of the most beloved (and sometimes overused) of condiments, you will always have a place in our hearts. Worcestershire, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise—yes, we adore you as well. We can’t forget about you relish, bbq sauce, vinegar, hot sauce, tartar sauce and assorted herbs and spices. You are our staples, but we also revere your cousins curry, wasabi, miso, hummus, soy sauce and more. Although we humans can’t make any promises, condiments, from here on out we’ll try our very best to hold you in the highest regard.
