Today’s Foodism: The Cookies of Our Lives—A Gateway to Great Remembrances

The giving of food is an unselfish act. Certain foods create the memories that linger long after the last bite. The aromas of cinnamon, nutmeg and oranges transports me back in time to my mom’s kitchen at Christmastime just as much as the simple pleasure of a slice of Sunbeam bread toasted with the right amount of butter gives me fond memories of my grandmother. These are the things we treasure and hold dear; this is the power of food. These memories are my cookies. Everyone has that representative cookie that does it for them. What’s yours?
