I enjoy the art of cooking, however, I admit I am somewhat intimidated by the prospect of baking. In cooking, I am free to be, well, free and spontaneous and unencumbered; I’m not limited by the constraints of measurements—I can use a pinch of this and a bit of that. With baking, it’s all so precise. Although I will don my chapeau of courage and take a stab at baking, my true artistry is in cooking . . . and even then, I’m no Van Gogh.
