Today’s Foodism: It Takes A Lot of Courage . . .

Channing Pollock

Certain foods are, by their very nature, addictive. Popcorn, the epitome of ‘community food’ (pop a bag in your office, sit back and watch your coworkers flock to your cubicle…) is one that immediately springs to mind. Strong is the person who can stop at a mere fistful. Grapes are yet another of those pop-in-your-mouth foods that make it difficult to put the brakes on eating. And, of course, everyone knows when it comes to Lays potato chips you can’t eat just one. And then there’s peanuts. Eat just one? Pfffth . . . many have tried, many have failed, few have triumphed. It takes courage to eat just one.
