Today’s Foodism: Curiosity of Food Will Only Take Me So Far

While I may at times consider myself to be an explorer of food (barring, of course, anything that would involve a loss of limbs, appetite or common sense), I do believe that true Brazilian fare, at least that of the nature of which Alex Atala speaks, will be far from the top of my list of culinary conquests anytime soon. No offense to the beautiful people of Brazil, but I’m not so inclined to partake in the delicacy of ants and tucupi no matter who’s doing the cooking. Suffice it to say, Alex Atala’s idea of great food and mine are worlds apart … and least when it comes to ants.
