Today’s Foodism: Drink Well, Live Well

Benjamin Franklin

Now, this is not to say that a drink has to be the prevailing component of every meal. On the flip side, a glass of grape Kool-Aid simply doesn’t cut it. How wonderful it is to indulge in a glass of red wine to accompany succulent filet mignon, a vermouth aperitif to kick start your appetite, or a snifter of brandy at the end of a meal. Good food and good drink go hand in hand and they culminate in good living. The end all and be all? Probably not, but good living just the same.
