Today’s Foodism: Breakfast Truly Is What You Make It

There can be many alternatives to the traditional or customary American breakfast of bacon or sausage, eggs and toast or, for the southerner in you, grits, scrapple, molasses, eggs and a biscuit. Notwithstanding a donughnut or muffin, some even turn to the odd but delightful occasional dessert item as a breakfast staple. And who can forget the college frat breakfast of champions . . . cold pizza. Breakfast is what you make it, cold spaghetti included. As for me, I shall stick to my tried and true favorites. No sense tempting the wrath of the stomach gods first thing in the morning.
