My palate isn’t what it used to be … and that’s a good thing. As my penchant for an array of foods has evolved over the years, so too has my talents in the kitchen. While I may not be a Michelin-rated chef, I do alright with a few pots and pans — mostly because I’ve inherited many of my mother’s gifts, but also because I can translate the good food that I eat into the good food that I cook.
